Pin-Locks for Leaf Vac and Truck Loader Hose

A pin-lock is a simple mechanical retention feature that keeps a leaf vacuum hose or truck loader hose connection from slipping apart, and in some setups it also locks a boom/nozzle in a safe “transport” position to protect the hose.

Features & Benefits of Flexaust Pin-Locks

• Prevents accidental disconnection: It pins (or otherwise positively locks) two joined parts so vibration, twisting, or tugging on the hose can’t pull the connection apart mid-use.
• Adds a “positive” lock vs. friction only: Clamps and tapered slip-fit ends rely on friction; a pin-lock adds a physical stop so the coupling can’t back off without intentionally removing the pin.
• Helps keep airflow consistent: By keeping joints from separating or creeping loose, it reduces the chance of leaks that can hurt suction performance.

What it does on truck loader/boom setups

On some truck loaders, a pin (sometimes described as a transport pin/lock) is used to lock the nozzle/boom assembly during transportation, which helps prevent the hose from whipping around, kinking, or getting abraded while the truck is moving.
