J-Locks for Leaf Vacuum Hose

A J-Lock (also called a J-Lock Connector) is a quick-connect coupling used to join two lengths of leaf vacuum or truck loader hose together, or to connect a hose to a machine intake.

Quick Connection/Disconnection

A J-Lock allows you to connect or disconnect hoses with a simple “twist” motion. This is much faster than using screw clamps or bolted flanges.

Extending Reach

Operators often use J-Locks to combine shorter lengths of hose (e.g., two 25-foot sections) into one long run. This is useful when you need extra length to reach a pile of leaves but don’t want to drag a massive 50-foot hose around all day.

Swivel Action

Many J-Lock designs allow the connected hoses to rotate or swivel slightly. This helps prevent the hose from twisting and kinking as the operator moves around the yard, which reduces operator fatigue and stress on the hose material.

How a J-Lock Works

Male/Female Ends: One side has a male end with pins (usually 3 equally spaced pegs), and the other has a female end with J-shaped slots.

Twist-to-Lock: You insert the male end into the female end and twist. The pins slide into the “J” channel and lock into the hook of the “J,” preventing them from pulling apart under tension.
